Turn a Meeting Recording into Notes Automatically (In Your Browser)
How to auto-transcribe a meeting or interview recording and summarize it with AI into meeting notes — processed in your browser by default.

When a meeting ends, the notes are left as homework. You have the recording, but replaying and transcribing it by hand takes about as long as the meeting itself. Automating this in two steps is far faster — turn the recording into text, then summarize that text.
Step 1 — Recording to text (auto-transcribe)
- 1Open Auto transcribe.
- 2Upload the meeting recording and choose the language.
- 3Run transcription to get time-stamped text.
TipIf you recorded a video call as video, extract just the audio first and feed that audio file to transcription — it's faster.
Step 2 — Summarize the transcript (AI)
Drop the transcript into AI file analysis or PDF Intelligence and ask it to ‘list the key decisions and action items,’ and you get the skeleton of your notes. Add the attendees and date, and you have clean meeting minutes.
Tips for better accuracy
- •The less noise and the closer the mic, the more accurate the recognition.
- •Accuracy can drop when several people talk over each other.
- •If there are many company names or technical terms, skim the transcript and correct it once.
TipTranscription runs in your browser (on-device) by default, so the recording never leaves your device. The optional higher-quality mode, used when you need more accuracy, briefly sends the sound data to an edge server — only with your consent. For sensitive meetings, use the default (on-device) mode.
